“it”

What I have realized about most couples that I have shot is that ”it” kicks in during their engagement shoot. It’s something that only true soul mates catch. Here are the symptoms of “it”: At first getting out of the car, they’re pretty visibly nervous. Walking towards the location usually is pretty quiet, a few short answers to my stupid questions that I ask to try to fill the awkward silence. Then we get to the shooting location, I turn to them and say something cheesy like “are you ready for this?”, then I point to a spot and say “ok let’s walk over here”… “Ok you stand right here and then you come stand in front of him, kinda to the side. Now turn in a little to the left. No your other left. Ok perfect now just look at each other”. And then comes the tell-tale sign of “it”, the uncontrollable, hysterical laughing, followed by the “oh gosh I’m so sorry haha”. I think it’s pretty funny myself, because I have also been diagnosed with “it”. It’s that feeling you get when you realize that you have actually found the person that you have been waiting for your whole life, when you realize that you’re going to be with this person for the rest of your life, and then when you look into their eyes and realize that they’re realizing the exact thing.

 That’s “it”…

You’re story of “it” just made me boo-hoo. I didn’t realize that’s what “it” is. It’s real.
